You can achieve this by using the CSV import feature in Jira to map the issue key to your desired number. If you wish to have the issue starting with issue key = 11 (ie. ABC-11), you need to import an issue with an issue counter below the expected issue key, in this case, it would be 10 (ie. ABC-10).
You must be a Jira administrator with the Administer Jira permissions to add, edit, or delete issue types in company-managed projects.
Theres no trick to updating issue details - open an issue and select the field youd like to update. Theres also no need to save when you edit issue details, as whatever you enter is saved as soon as you click or tap away from a field (unless you select escape to discard a change).
If you have a Reopen step/status, make sure that jira. issue. editable property is not set to false to allow the issue to be editable. Generally when no properties are set on the specific status the issue(fields) will be editable by default provided the users have edit issue permission.
You can customize the issue view to show more fields, hide fields, and rearrange the field layout. To configure the layout of the issue viewwhich fields appear and the order they appear inopen an issue and choose Configure at the bottom-right.
Edit a screens details Select Issues. Click Screens. Next to the relevant screen, click Edit to update the name or description.
To edit a status: From your projects sidebar, select Project settings Issue types. From the sidebar, select the issue type you want to edit. Select Edit workflow. Select the status in your workflow diagram. The status details panel appears.
