Customize the issue layout From your projects sidebar, select Project settings Issues Layout. Find the issue type(s) whose layout you want to view and select Edit issue layout. Drag and drop fields to move them to a different section. Select Save changes.
Edit issue details To edit an issue, you need the Edit Issue project permission for the issues relevant project. If you do not have this permission, please contact your administrator. To edit an existing issue, select Edit to open the Edit Issue dialog and modify the issue details.
To configure the layout of the issue viewwhich fields appear and the order they appear inopen an issue and choose Configure at the bottom-right. To find out more about configuring the issue layout, check out Configure field layout in the issue view.
To change the issue type assigned to a workflow: From your service project, go to Project settings, then Workflows. Find the workflow youd like to update and select Assign in the Issue types column.
You must be a Jira administrator with the Administer Jira permissions to add, edit, or delete issue types in company-managed projects.
Theres no trick to updating issue details - open an issue and select the field youd like to update. Theres also no need to save when you edit issue details, as whatever you enter is saved as soon as you click or tap away from a field (unless you select escape to discard a change).
Edit an issue type scheme Select Issues. From the left column, select Issue type schemes. Find the relevant issue type scheme and click Edit. Edit the name, description, default issue type, and selected issue types. When youre done, select Save.
Edit a screens details Select Issues. Click Screens. Next to the relevant screen, click Edit to update the name or description.
