so one of the first things that we have to discuss when making these algae impressions is patient positioning and selecting the right tray size so downstairs in the clinic we have these blue stock trays we have maxillary trays and those are numbered one three and five with one being the larger and five being the smaller and then the mandibular trays are numbered with even numbers and again with the smaller number being the larger tray so the tray size is important because you want to make sure that the tray fits comfortably in the patientamp;#39;s mouth sometimes if the tray is too big it may induce a gag reflex in your patient or if itamp;#39;s too small like you see in this picture here you may have certain areas in which the tray is showing through in the impression and you know you havenamp;#39;t ceded it correctly in the patientamp;#39;s mouth so this next clip is from my fix instructor here at as though dr.
