Q: I have lost or damaged my diploma. Can I get it replaced? Request a new diploma by completing the Diploma Remake Request form. Note: Accessing these services requires you to login with a UMD Directory ID and password.
To obtain your my UH ID : Go to my UH . Click on Help me with my ID. Please read and accept the Terms and Conditions in order to proceed with the request. Fill in all required information fields and click continue. Answer the final verification question and submit your request.
Answer. Faculty, staff, students, sponsored affiliates and associates have a user ID known as Directory ID. This is the alphanumeric ID of up to eight characters obtained/created at account activation. The University Identification (UID) is the nine digit number typically found on the front of your University ID card.

You can collect new or replacement ID cards at the following print locations: St Lucia: Student Central (Building 42), Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Gatton: Student Centre, NW Briton Administration Building (Building 8101A), Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Your directory ID will also be your email address @umd.edu. To activate up your Directory ID you will need the following: Either your UID, an Activation Code, or the last five digits of Social Security Number (SSN) or SID. Graduate students can access the activation code after accepting your admission.
This 6-digit number can be found in the upper left -and corner of your time sheet. It is labeled EmplID. The Student ID Number starts with the @ sign and is followed by eight digits. The number is posted in SURFS next to your name when you are registering for classes.
A replacement ID card can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar Front Counter, First Floor, Mitchell Building, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
