hello and in this video we are going to learn how to promote or demo headings or number listing word so i have a very simple list here and what i really want to do is to actually promote uh the budgets from a subheading to a headline i want to promote it from subheading d to heading number three now of course there are several ways that we can do this in word one is to press our backspace a few times and then manually insert a number 3 in it and this could turn it into a heading heading number 3. now another way and it is a simpler method is to just click on this button decrease indent and this could actually promote it to a higher level which is number three now uh but in a lot of cases sometimes we want the exact reverse we want to demo budget from a heading number three to a subheading d now how do we do that uh one way is to press tab and this could uh demote it or another way which i could prefer this method because it is uh it is fast and it ensures that there is no arrow is to j

Tip: You can change the font and formatting of a heading style. Just select the heading text you want to customize, modify its styles the way you want, and then on the Home tab, in the Styles group, right-click the heading style that you customized and click Update Heading to Match Selection.
Make a title or heading On your computer, open a document in Google Docs. Select the text you want to change. Click Format. Paragraph styles. Click a text style: Normal text. Title. Subtitle. Heading 1-6. Click Apply text style.

Highlight the text you want to turn into a heading or subheading and make sure you are on the Home tab. In the Styles section of the ribbon, click on the heading level you want. Heading 1 is typically used for document titles. Heading 2 is generally used for subheadings.
To add a heading style Type the text you want into a Word document. Select a sentence that you want to add a header to. Select Home Styles (or press Alt+H, then L), and then select the heading you want, such as the Heading 1 button.
The simplest way to add headings is to use heading styles. Select the text you want to use as a heading. On the Home tab, click the heading style you want to use. If you dont see the style you want, click a left, right, or down arrow to see more available styles.
