hello and welcome to an envato test plus quick tip im adi pordilla and in this video youll learn how to edit the header in wordpress this is super simple so lets get started now in wordpress the header is basically this part here that contains your logo navigation and maybe some additional bits and pieces like a search so how do you edit this well this is the same for all of the pages basically and it sits in a file called header.php thats a one of the files from your theme your currently active theme and this file is of course different for different themes so just keep that in mind if youre gonna make changes to the header.php file in one theme those changes will not be applied to another theme so how do you get to that header.php file well if you want to navigate to it directly you would go to your wordpress installation in my case this is wp local and then you would go to wp content themes you would pick the theme that is currently active and inside you would find header.php
