Change an existing formula in Pages for iCloud Double-click the results cell with the formula you want to edit. The formula editor opens displaying the functions. Do any of the following: Press Return or click the Checkmark button in the formula editor when youre done.
Create your own formula Click the cell where you want the result to appear, then enter the equal sign (=). The formula editor opens. Enter a left parenthesis ( to begin your formula. Select a cell to use as the first argument in your formula, or enter a value (for example, a number such as 0 or 5.20).
You can enter number values in formulas to make calculations, just as you would in a calculator. Click a blank cell where you want to add your formula, then type the equal sign (=) to open the Formula Editor. Type the equation you want to calculate, using values and arithmetic operators (for example, +,-,*, and /).
To edit a formula: Double-click the cell containing the formula you want to edit. The formula will be displayed in the cell. Make the desired edits to the formula. In our example, we will replace C4 with C5. When youre finished, press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Edit an equation: Double-click the equation, make your changes, then click Update. Move an equation: Drag the equation to another location on the page. Change the size, color, or alignment of an equation: Click the equation, then use the controls in the sidebar to change the font size and color.
Edit an equation in Equation Editor Double-click the equation object that you want to edit. Use the symbols, templates, or frameworks on the Equation toolbar to edit the equation. In Word, Excel, or Outlook, to return to your document, click anywhere in the document.
Change an existing formula Double-click the result cell with the formula you want to edit. The formula editor opens, displaying the formula. Do any of the following: Change the cell references: Select the existing cell addresses you want to change, then select the new cells. Press Return or click.
Select Insert Equation or press Alt + =. To use a built-in formula, select Design Equation. To create your own, select Design Equation Ink Equation. Use your finger, stylus, or mouse to write your equation.
