hello everyone luke here welcome back to the channel so iamp;#39;ve been playing around with laser cutter and itamp;#39;s been really fun so iamp;#39;ve decided to do a video on how to engrave a poster into a piece of wood so iamp;#39;ve done a little bit of a practice and this is what iamp;#39;ve done so far take a look at that isnamp;#39;t that quite cool so i feel like iamp;#39;ve gained enough experience and i feel like i know what iamp;#39;m doing to be able to do something a bit bigger and a bit better right so letamp;#39;s go for all the steps i feel like i should talk about this a little bit more in depth and thatamp;#39;s because iamp;#39;m not really experienced in laser engraving so iamp;#39;m not 100 sure on all the little tweaks and settings that you can use to make your uh engravings better but iamp;#39;m open to open to suggestions and iamp;#39;m willing to try anything so iamp;#39;m going to go through what i think is correct and if it is incorrec

By infilling the engraved area with a coloured paint, you can transform your engraving from its usual laser finish to any colour you want.
Antiquing: This paint-like process is very simple yet effective if you want to just touch up your engraving and make it a bit darker in order for it to stand out. The jeweler simply rubs the antiquing formula over the engraving, and lets it fill in the carving.
Apply Darkening Agent: Once the engraving is complete, apply a darkening agent or ink to the engraved area. Brush or rub the agent into the engraved lines or markings, ensuring it fills all the grooves.
One of the biggest challenges with engraving on metal with your Cricut Maker is that it can be hard to see your design. You may think it needs to be deeper, but what you need is contrast. Usually, you would do that by adding black ink or enamel to darken the engraved area.
A: In order to engrave on your Cricut, first you need to make sure you have a Maker or Maker 3 model. Next, youll need a QuickSwap Housing and the Cricut Engraving Tip. This housing and tip only fit the Maker and Maker 3 machines.
STEP 3: COLOR YOUR ENGRAVED DESIGN I tried several coloring methods and found three that worked really well and looked awesome on the acrylic and metal plaques: Rub n Buff Finish, Enamel Paint, and Acrylic Ink.
You may be able to apply a darker stain or oil (food safe) that will absorb into the etched areas faster than the original surface finish thus turn it darker, or if you dont want that etched side to be used not worried about food safe, you may be able to even apply paint or wax or color filler and wipe it off the
