Translator: Joseph Geni Reviewer: Morton Bast So I want to start by offering you a free no-tech life hack, and all it requires of you is this: that you change your posture for two minutes. But before I give it away, I want to ask you to right now do a little audit of your body and what youamp;#39;re doing with your body. So how many of you are sort of making yourselves smaller? Maybe youamp;#39;re hunching, crossing your legs, maybe wrapping your ankles. Sometimes we hold onto our arms like this. Sometimes we spread out. (Laughter) I see you. So I want you to pay attention to what youamp;#39;re doing right now. Weamp;#39;re going to come back to that in a few minutes, and Iamp;#39;m hoping that if you learn to tweak this a little bit, it could docHubly change the way your life unfolds. So, weamp;#39;re really fascinated with body language, and weamp;#39;re particularly interested in other peopleamp;#39;s body language. You know, weamp;#39;re interested in, like, you know

You can copy an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) into or to another AWS Region using the AWS Management Console, the AWS Command Line Interface, or SDKs, or the Amazon EC2 API, all of which support the CopyImage action. You can copy Amazon EBS-based AMIs and Instance Store AMIs.
Create an AMI from an Amazon EC2 Instance Right-click the instance you want to use as the basis for your AMI, and choose Create Image from the context menu. Create Image context menu. In the Create Image dialog box, type a unique name and description, and then choose Create Image.
Updating AMIs. Update a Linux AMI. Update a Windows Server AMI. Update a golden AMI using Automation, AWS Lambda, and Parameter Store. Using AWS Support self-service runbooks. Run the EC2Rescue tool on undocHubable instances. Reset passwords and SSH keys on EC2 instances. Passing data to Automation using input transformers.
To answer the original question: you cant decrypt an encrypted AMI and you cant decrypt AWS managed keys. What you can do is create a CMK (Customer Master Key), re-encrypt your image with the new key, and share it with the account(s) you wish.
You cant update the AMI of an instance without replacing it with a new instance. Typically you simply run the operating system updates - yum update / apt update upgrade / windows update.
Step 1: Complete Session Manager prerequisites. Step 2: Verify or add instance permissions for Session Manager. Step 3: Control session access to managed nodes. Step 4: Configure session preferences. Step 5: (Optional) Restrict access to commands in a session.
