Set an ACL on a file by using the setfacl command.
Default ownership and permissions are modified to address the issue of unintentional overly broad grants of directory permissions. Filesystem ACL change restriction defaults: Default ACL for new file creation is 600 instead of 644 (default umask changing from 022 to 077).
The two important command-line tools for managing ACLs are setfacl and getfacl . These commands are used to create or change ACLs, and to read the contents of an ACL, respectively.
Use the Named ACL context to enter the ACL. Using show run or show access-list list-name config , note the sequence number and content of the ACE having a remark you want to remove. Delete the ACE. Using the same sequence number, re-enter the ACE.
setfacl sets (replaces), modifies, or removes the access control list (ACL) to regular files and directories. It also updates and deletes ACL entries for each file and directory that was specified by path.
Display ACL entries for a file by using the getfacl command.
To add or remove access control list (ACL) entries from a file or directory, get the FileSecurity or DirectorySecurity object from the file or directory. Modify the object, and then apply it back to the file or directory.
