To edit your csv files, we strongly advise you to use a simple text editor such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text. Using Excel to edit your files is more complex: Excel renders certain values such as ICCID or IMEI in numbers and truncates them, leading to information being not easily usable.
Click the Data tab, and select From Text. Find your CSV file stored on your computer, and click Open. In the Text Import Wizard window, be sure Delimited is selected as your file type. In the File origin drop down, select 65001 : Unicode (UTF-8) Check the My Data has headers box. Click the Next button.
CSV files use double-quote marks to delimit field values that have spaces, so a value like Santa Claus gets saved as Santa Claus to preserve the space.
You can use the csv. writer class to write data into a CSV file. The class returns a writer object, which you can then use to convert data into delimited strings. To ensure that the newline characters inside the quoted fields interpret correctly, open a CSV file object with newline=.
The problem is that there is no comment character standard for a CSV file, but I did hear that you can define your own comment character in the C# file that reads the CSV file. For instance skip rows that start with #.
Emojis. Trademark, copyright and other legal symbols. Foreign language characters and logograms, such as Chinese symbols and tilde, etc.
Currently, the TSV/CSV rendering engine doesnt support comments. However, it is common to have comments in CSV files, and popular tools, such as pandas readcsv support ignoring comments. It would be nice if github.com could also support ignoring comments.
You can load CSV using pandas and edit it and write it back into a new or existing CSV. You can also double click the CSV in file explorer and it will open in the right side panel. You then edit it like a text file and save it.
