Edit a Macro Click the Developer tab. Click the Macros button. The Macro dialog box appears. Select a macro to edit. Click the Edit button. The Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications program appears. Edit the macros code as desired. Click the Save button. Close the Visual Basic for Applications program window.
To view and edit the VBA code: In the Visual Basic Editor, if the Project Explorer pane is not displayed, on the View menu, click Project Explorer. Expand the tree under the name of the database in which you are working. Under Modules, double-click the module Converted Macro- macro name.
A sheet name code is a friendly and meaningful name that you can assign to the sheets in your workbook. This is especially useful if you have more than one worksheet because the names can be different. Creating a sheet name in excel is very important to keep track of your data.
Edit the macro On the DEVELOPER tab, in the Code group, click Macros. In the Macro name box, click the macro that you want to edit. Click Edit. The Visual Basic Editor appears.
Click the cell where you want to use the function. Type an equals sign ( = ) followed by the function name and any input value for example, =DOUBLE(A1) and press Enter.
If you have enabled Markdown for Google Docs, you can also insert a code block by typing ``` and pressing Enter.
From the main menu, go to Add-ons - Code Blocks - Start to bring up the Code Blocks sidebar. Type the programming code in your Google Doc. Highlight your code and, in the Code Blocks sidebar, select the language of your code from the dropdown menu. Click Format to create your code block.
Double-click on the worksheet tab and enter a new name, or right-click on an existing worksheet name, then choose Rename from the context menu. You can use VBA to change the name of a worksheet by assigning a new string value to the Name property.
With the document open, click Add-ons and select Code Blocks from the menu. A new right sidebar will open (Figure A), where you can make use of the tool. Code Blocks is installed and ready to go. To use Code Blocks, write or paste your code in the document.
Basically the code above does 3 thing: Opens the text file and reads all the lines. Creates a new string variable with the modified data. For example for the first line (1 John 134$): arrStrings(0) = 1 arrStrings(1) = John arrStrings(2) = 234$
