welcome to presume technologies I am venket this is part 12 of asp.net video series in this session weamp;#39;ll learn about the properties methods and events of an asp.net checkbox control before continuing with the session I strongly recommend to watch part 11 of this video series where we have talked about radio button control because the properties methods and events of these both controls are very much identical so when do we actually use this checkbox control a checkbox control is used when you want the user to select more than one option from the available choices for example the education of a person a person can have a graduate degree a postgraduate degree and a doctorate degree in this case the user selects all the three checkboxes whereas a person may just have a graduate degree in which case he only selects the Graduate checkbox another example would be when you want the user to select the days of his availability for an appointment ok if he is available only on a Tuesday

To create an HTML checkbox with a clickable label, use the element and associate it with the checkbox using the for attribute, matching the checkboxs id . This makes the label clickable, toggling the checkbox state when clicked. The clickable label means the checkbox gets on/off when the label is clicked.
The HTML defaultChecked property is used to return the default value of the checked attribute. It has a boolean value that returns true if the checkbox is checked by default, otherwise returns false.
To specify the value of a checkbox using attribute in HTML, add the value attribute within the tag, setting it to the desired value for form submission or data processing.
To have full control of the styling of a checkbox, you can hide the checkbox input and use the inputs ::before pseudo element to create a custom-styled checkbox. Setting the CSS appearance property to none hides the checkbox input. The input is made into a flexbox with its contents centered within the set border.
The CheckBox control has two important properties, Checked and CheckState. The Checked property returns either true or false . The CheckState property returns either Checked or Unchecked; or, if the ThreeState property is set to true , CheckState may also return Indeterminate.
The default hotkey for Toggle checkbox status has been changed to Ctrl L (or ⌘ L on MacOS). Ctrl Enter is now the default hotkey for opening links under the cursor in a new tab. You can change these hotkeys in settings.
Each checkboxs checked state is determined by whether its value exists in the array. When a checkbox is toggled, the state is updated to reflect the changes. By using the onChange event, we can handle updates to the state and re-render the component ingly.
