Bates numbering is a method of sequentially numbering pages with a reference identifier to make them easier to locate and reference. This could be as simple as sequential numbers like 0001 and 0002, or it may include alphanumeric strings (such as ABC0001 and ABC0002).
Removing a Bates stamp in docHub can be done easily within docHub. If you no longer require the Bates stamp on your PDF document, follow these instructions to remove it: After opening the program, you can navigate to the Tools menu and select the Edit PDF option.

Bates numbering best practices Use the right number of digits. In Bates numbering, the number of digits in a number is often used to indicate how many pages are in a specific document set. Add extra information. Make sure each number is unique. Keep it consistent.
Select Bates Number under Macros and click Settings. In the Bates Numbering Options dialog box, keep a 6-digit number length and keep 1 as Start Number. In the Prefix field, type in the case identifier Case 20: and add a space at the end. In the Suffix field, type Kofax with a space at the end.
