In this video Iamp;#39;m going to explain what the new Azure radio authentication method policy is and how it works together with the legacy MFA and SSPR policies. When you get to your account page, make sure that you are on the Security Info page. You can click Security Info on the left-hand menu to get there. Next, locate the device you want to un-enroll from the list and click Delete on the far-right.
Steps to manually transfer Authenticator codes to a new device: On your new device, the Google Authenticator app . In the Google Authenticator app, tap Get Started. Sign in to your Google Account. On your old device, create a QR code: On your new device, tap Scan QR code.
Add a new account to the Microsoft authenticator app Go to the Security info page using the steps above. Select Add sign-in method. Select Choose a method and then Authenticator app. Follow the on-screen instructions, including using your mobile device to scan the QR code, and then select Next. Select Save.
When syncing is set up on your old device, download the authenticator app on your new iPhone or Android from the App Store, Google Play Store, or Samsung Store and sign in with the same Google account. Your codes automatically appear on the new phone.
Go to and click Update Info under Security info Click Change next to Default sign-in method Click App based authentication - notification and then Confirm The new method will now be your default. Each time you sign in it will use this method.
Heres the process: Open Microsoft Authenticator. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner. Select Settings. Choose the Personal account tab. Go to Account settings, then tap on Phone number. You will see your current number. Tap Change phone number. Enter your new number.
The process will differ for each site, service, or app, but youll usually find the option to set up a new device in your Security or Authentication settings. Some services will display a QR code or a key that you can enter into the Authenticator app on your phone to reset it.
Turn off 2-Step Verification Open your Google Account. In the Security section, select 2-Step Verification. You might need to sign in. Select Turn off. A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to turn off 2-Step Verification. Select Turn off.
