Merge duplicates On your Android phone or tablet, open the Contacts app . At the top right, select the Google Account that has the duplicate contacts you want to merge. At the bottom, tap Fix manage Merge fix. Tap Merge duplicates.
Go to Settings Contacts Accounts. Tap the account that has contacts that you want to add or remove. To add contacts, turn on Contacts. To remove contacts, turn off Contacts, then tap Delete from My iPhone.
If you have more than one contact card with the same first and last name, you can merge the duplicate contacts. Below My Card, tap Duplicates Found. Tap individual contacts to review and merge them, or tap Merge All to merge all duplicate contacts.
Create a new contact called Deleted Contacts, and then select the unwanted contacts and click Merge. Then find the Deleted Contacts card and archive it. Next time you need to delete contacts, just select Restore Contact from Archive and merge the unwanted contacts again.
