Note: While pro forma invoices can look the exact same as commercial invoices, Customs will not accept a pro forma invoice as only a commercial invoice is seen as a legal document.
If you import goods as part of your business, you can use a pro forma to estimate their value for customs clearance, but youll still need to supply a commercial invoice within 180 days.
Similarly to a quotation document, if the sale does not go ahead, no action is required to edit or cancel the proforma invoice. That means its possible for a customer to change their mind and not go ahead with a purchase even after youve sent them a proforma invoice.
Merge All invoices in state Draft, Open or Paid. Menu for merge invoices in Accounting module. Select various invoices that belongs to same partner and same type. Click to Action menu Click Merge Invoices. Wizard for merge invoices. select date and click on Merge invoice.
Convert a pro forma to a full invoice Go to Sales, and then click Sales Invoices. Select the pro forma invoice. Clear the Save as check box. If your customer has requested any changes, make these now. Click the required save option.
