Once you have completed the initial registration process and set up your Secure PDF password, Secure PDF email messages are sent directly to your regular email account. Simply click to open the attached file and enter your Secure PDF password. The email from the Citi representative opens as a PDF document.

Citis Secure Email Program allows us to send encrypted email to our customers, business partners and other external parties. Encrypted Secure Email protects Citi and client information from unauthorized viewing or malicious intervention. and convenient way to exchange secure email with Citi.
Begin by logging into your Citi account. Select Contact Us. Scroll down to the bottom of your Citi account page. Choose the Chat or Secure Message Feature. Click on the Secure Message Center or Chat with Citi link. Send a New Message. Pick Your Account Subject. Send Your Question (If You Can)
You will be prompted to enter your unique password, which should be a combination of the first four letters of your name (as mentioned on your Credit Card or Account Statement), followed by the first four numbers of your date of birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format). Enter the password and click OK. The document will now open.
Use the built in pdf reader in Chrome to open the document. When prompted, enter the password. Go to the File menu and select Print, instead of sending it to a printer select destination printer as Save as PDF The password should have been removed on the new document.
How to encrypt a PDF file for email. Open the PDF you want to encrypt in the editor. On the top toolbar, click Tools Protect Encrypt Encrypt with Password. Check the box next to Require a password to open the document. Choose a password in the text block.
You will receive an email notification whenever you receive a new encrypted message from Citi. You can then access the email by clicking the link to the Citi Secure Webmail Center and logging in to your account. You can use Web Pull without the need for encryption software on your own computer.
Files with an owner password can be unlocked instantly. However, if the file is thoroughly encrypted, you can only unlock the file by providing the correct password. Just upload your file and the password will be removed from your PDF. You can receive the unlocked PDF by simply clicking download and you are good to go!
In Preview, open the PDF file you want to encrypt. Select File and then Export. Click Encrypt, select a password, and then retype it to verify. Click Save.
