okay so now that we know we have the lead source and lead source original fields populated we need to make sure that those same fields carry over from our leader contacts to an opportunity and there are two places we actually need to set this up a different place for leads if youre working from leads to opportunities and then a separate place for contacts if youre building opportunities off of contact so well start with leads for this video so im going to go to object manager and in the setup menu and were going to go to leads and then fields and relationships now when a lead is converted to a contact account and opportunity the standard fields are automatically mapped over for you so in this case lead source you dont have to worry about it will automatically show up on the contact on the opportunity but uh any custom field like the lead source original will not we have to set that so in the field and relationships uh tab on the lead object manager im gonna go to map lead field
