TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
The generic steps to add a text record to your domain are listed below. Sign in to your domains account at your domain host. Locate the page for updating your domains DNS records. Locate the TXT records for your domain on this page. Add a TXT record for the domain and for each subdomain (see Use Cases below).
Before troubleshooting TXT records: Remember that it can take up to 72 hours for DNS changes to go into effect, depending on the records TTL value when you made the change.
How this works. Youll copy a verification code from the setup tool. Youll sign in to your domain registrar and paste the verification code in to the DNS records for your domain. Once your domain registrar publishes your verification code, well know you are the owner of your domain.

Time to Live (TTL) is a field on DNS records that controls how long each record is valid and as a result how long it takes for record updates to docHub your end users.
To add or update a TXT record: Click + Add Record in the TXT (Text) section. Click the Host Name field and enter the host name. Note: Leave this field blank if instructed to add an @ sign. Click the Value field and enter the TXT value. Click Save.
