Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. The most widely used business letter formats are full block and modified block. You can also use the memo format, which is a form of business correspondence used mostly within an organization.
Here, well show you how to format a Word document to make it look professional. Keep It Simple, Less Is More. Choose a Context-Appropriate Typeface. Use Standard Font Size and Color. Use Standard Page Size and Margins. Align Paragraphs to the Left. Indent the First Lines of Paragraphs. Place Images Between Paragraphs.
Open the Word document that you want to save as a template. On the File menu, click Save as Template. In the Save As box, type the name that you want to use for the new template. (Optional) In the Where box, choose a location where the template will be saved.
There are three main styles of business letter: block, modified block, and semi-block styles. Each is written in much the same way, including the same information, but the layout varies slightly for each one.
