Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. Here I am in Microsoft Word and to be able to do this first you need a Word document that you want to transform into a form. Here I have an order form for the Kevin Cookie Company. To follow along, onc

Most RFPs are issued by government agencies and other organizations in the public sector. They are generally required to open up competition among private companies and remove bias from the process. The agencies want to ensure that they get the lowest and most competitive bid.
Unlike with an RFP, sealed bids are generally used to find the vendor with the lowest price. On the other hand, RFP responses allow for a discussion to take place between buyers and vendors. There are two types of sealed bidding to choose from: one-step sealed bidding and two-step sealed bidding.
How to write a bid proposal for construction Know the bid process. Review the project documents. If the client provides a bid sheet template, use it. Heading. Recipient information. Services you intend to provide. Base bid. Optional information.
What Goes on a Construction Bid Form? The Basics. At the top of the document, all of the contact information for both the construction company and the potential customer should be listed. Project Scope. Existing Conditions. Cost. Terms of Payment. Relevant Documentation. Work Schedule. Formal Bid Signatures.
A request for quote (RFQ), also known as an invitation for bid (IFB), is a process in which a company solicits select suppliers and contractors to submit price quotes and bids for the chance to fulfill certain tasks or projects.
A Request for Proposal RFP or request for bid is used on complex projects, unlike an invitation to bid. These projects demand a high level of technical expertise. In addition to pricing, experience, technical capacity, and approach are critical elements of the RFP process.
Negotiating an invitation to bid Be prepared with your plan and goals. Identify each point that must be negotiated. Be prepared to discuss alternatives. Negotiate the most important issues first. Do not disclose the details of other bids. Avoid arguments.
While an ITB is very similar to an RFP (request for proposal), it is concerned with the pricing more so than the conceptual ideas of the project. Similar to all other types of bids, an invitation to bid is generally awarded to the contractor who submits the lowest bid.
