This tutorial teaches how to password protect files and folders in Windows. This feature is not available in Windows Home Edition. To protect a file, open File Explorer, locate the file, right click and select properties, go to the General tab, click on Advanced, check "Encrypt contents to secure data", click apply and OK. A lock icon indicates the file is protected. The same steps can be followed to encrypt a folder.
