Use a Header Click the Insert tab. Click the Header Footer button on the ribbon. The spreadsheet zooms out slightly and the Click to add header text box opens at the top of the spreadsheet. Click into the text box and type the spreadsheet title.
Click anywhere in the table. On the Home tab on the ribbon, click the down arrow next to Table and select Toggle Header Row. Click the Table Design tab Style Options Header Row.
To pin data in the same place and see it when you scroll, you can freeze rows or columns. On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Select a row or column you want to freeze or unfreeze. At the top, click View. Freeze. Select how many rows or columns to freeze.
Freeze columns and rows to keep them in view while you scroll through your data. Select the cell below the rows, and to the right of the columns you want to freeze. Click View Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
To freeze multiple rows (starting with row 1), select the row below the last row you want frozen and click Freeze Panes. To freeze multiple columns, select the column to the right of the last column you want frozen and click Freeze Panes.
Go to the Protection tab and uncheck Locked option and click Ok. Now select only the cells or columns, rows that you want to protect. Right click and choose Format cells again. Go to the protection tab and check Locked option and click Ok.
The column heading is a heading that identifies a column of a worksheet. Column headings are at the top of each column and are labeled A, B, Z, AA, AB . This example shows two columns, column A and column B.
Click theReview tab and then click the Lock Cellbutton.
Freeze columns and rows in Excel Select the row below the row(s) you want to freeze (select row 6, if you want to freeze rows 1 to 5). On the View tab, click Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
To freeze rows: Select the row below the rows you want frozen. For example, if you want rows 1 and 2 to always appear at the top of the worksheet even as you scroll, then select row 3. Click the View tab. Click the Freeze Panes command. Select Freeze Panes. A black line appears below the rows that are frozen in place.
