If your nanny did something that you found unacceptable, youve got to let her know. The most diplomatic way to let her go is to explain youre looking for someone who is a better fit for your family. Be prepared to present examples if necessary, as this can only help her understand the parting.
Tell your nanny. If shes not being terminated immediately youll want to set up a meeting to discuss her termination when the children are not present. You may wish to consider telling her on the last day of her workweek so that she has time to process the information before returning to work.
