To begin exploring solicitations, you can view open solicitations to learn about their classifications. On the top menu, select Procurement, scroll down to Solicitations, and then select Active Solicitations. On the Solicitations page, you will see the Solicitation Number. When you select a solicitation number, you will go to the Solicitation Details. The solicitation type shown on the screen is called a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation for Quote (IFQ). RFQs are used for small offers under a certain dollar threshold like $3,000.01 to $50,000 and the supplier is asked to respond with a price and other information.
