If a Florida certificate of title is lost or destroyed, the titled owner can get a duplicate by submitting a completed Form HSMV 82101 and a $6 fee to a county tax collector or license plate agent. The application will be processed and the duplicate title mailed within five working days from receipt of the application.
If it was never titled, you must bring a sellers registration card, or a sellers official affidavit of ownership issued by their State Jurisdiction. Your PA drivers license or PA ID card. A Bill of Sale (docHubd if there is no title present).
Second half is a brief form you may get from the office of your county tax collector or online. The only need for a Bill of Sale when selling a yacht privately is that it be signed by all parties involved and docHubd or witnessed.
Proof of ownership on a used boat from a non-title state is the vessel registration. A docHubd bill of sale is required with the registration to transfer ownership. If youre registering a boat in Texas with no title, youll have to first complete the appropriate form on the Texas Parks and Wildlife site to replace a lost of destroyed Texas title.
Applying for Vessel Registration When applying for registration, the owner must establish proof of ownership by submitting an executed bill of sale, a builders contract, a manufacturers statement of origin, a federal marine document or another document acceptable to the FLHSMV.
If the seller is an individual and the vessel is registered in North Carolina or another state, but not titled, a docHubd Bill Of Sale is proof-of-ownership. A Bill-Of-Sale can be typed or handwritten on plain paper. It must include the registration number, the hull ID number, and a vessel description.
