hi im chris camish and this is cs361 systems programming todays video is about symbol resolution so the main topic of what weve been talking about so far is building from a source code to a running program one of the really important intermediate points of this is creating the object files that are the output of the compiler that has taken our source file and turned it into assembly code and some extra things that were eventually going to need to fix later on that is that intermediate is that intermediate file has a whole bunch of assembly instructions for the code that we wrote but it also has references to code that other people wrote that eventually needs to be incorporated into our program to make it actually runnable so in this case weve got things like hoots and fprintf that exist in this file as references to functions but we cant jump to them yet because the definition isnt in here even if we let the preprocessor open up stdio.h and jam it into this file its not going

Link tables are generally used for linking the two table or the fact tables. As we know that when we are designing the datamodel synthetic keys and circular loop are common. For fixing this problems we use the link table concept. You can also use concatenation ,but it always not give the appropiate result.
Most tables in a relational database are about entities in the data set, but link tables are about relationships between entities. All the actual data referring to the agent or specialty are encoded in other tables.
When you link to a table in an Access database, Access creates a new table, called a linked table, which maintains a link to the source records and fields. Any changes you make to the data in the source database are reflected in the linked table in the destination database, and vice versa.
A link table resolves the many-to-many associative relationships by implementing a compound field (multiple field values concatenated into a single value) in the link and fact tables. Therefore, a link table typically contains compound fields and all the common fields between the multiple fact tables.

Link tables are usually association/bridge tables between different Hub tables in Datavault. They mostly resolve many to many relation between different Hub tables. Example. Link - INVOICELINEITEM. Hub - INVOICE, PRODUCT etc.
An Identity Link Table (IDL) is an SQL accessible table that contains information about the relationship (links) between rows of an IDT. A link has directionality. That is, a parent row is linked to a child row.
An entity is a table. Another way of looking at it is that an entity object stores the business logic and column information for a database table (or view, synonym, or snapshot). An entity object caches data from a database and provides an object-oriented representation of it.
