Add links to an app Make sure the app you want to link to is open and active. For example, open a web page in Safari or start playing a podcast episode. In the Notes app on your Mac, open a note, then click the Link button in the toolbar. Click Add Link.
In the Notes app on your Mac, click a note in the notes list or double-click a note in gallery view, then choose Edit Substitutions Smart Links (a checkmark shows its on). Do one of the following: Type or paste a URL, then press the Space bar or the Return key. The URL becomes a link automatically.

In Notes, open the document, view, or application you want to link to. Click Edit Copy as Link, then select Document Link, View Link, or Application Link. Open the Notes document or the external application you want to link from. Click where you want the link to appear.
Click the File Export To option. Within the contextual menu, choose HTML by clicking it. Save the output HTML file to a cloud location like Dropbox and generate a public share link.
Do one of the following: Type or paste a URL, then press the Space bar or the Return key. The URL becomes a link automatically. Click anywhere in the note, then choose Edit Add Link (or press Command-K).
Find the link that you want to copy and highlight it with the cursor. You can do this by clicking twice (or, sometimes, three times). Then, right click and click the option for Copy Link. Or, you can press Control (or Command on a Mac) + C. Then, go to where you want to paste the link and right click again.
