Word allows you fine-tune the line and paragraph spacing in your documents. In this example, Id like to start by changing the line spacing, which is the space between each line of text. Start by selecting some text, and then in the Paragraph group, click the Line and Paragraph Spacing command. By default, the line spacing is 1.08, so if you change it to 1.0, the lines will be a little closer together, and if you choose 2.0 theyll be double-spaced. But if you want to have more precise control, click Line Spacing Options. There are two things that you can change: the line-spacing mode and the amount. When the mode is set to Multiple, you can type in the number of lines of spacing you want. The default is 1.08, so we might change it to something like 1.25 to spread the lines out a little bit. If youre more accustomed to measuring in points, like with font sizes, you can select Exactly. Usually, youll want the spacing to be a little bit larger than the font size. Since I have 12-point

In the relevant RFC 3986, spaces are defined as unsafe characters. It is stipulated that spaces must not be left untreated in a URL and must instead be converted (encoded). Special characters in URLs are usually expressed using the percent sign and a sequence of numbers. For spaces, this is %20.
URLs cannot contain spaces. URL encoding normally replaces a space with a plus (+) sign or with %20.
To create extra spaces before, after, or in-between your text, use the nbsp; (non-breaking space) extended HTML character.
The nbsp; character creates a space that does not break into a new line. Two words that are separated by a non-breaking space always appear on the same line. The #9; and Tab; characters create tab spaces in HTML.
To manually specify that a group of words containing spaces is an address and should be represented by a hyperlink, simply surround the text with the left and right angle brackets. That is to say, prefix the address with the character and terminate it with the character.
To add real spaces to your text, you can use the nbsp; character entity. Tip: The non-breaking hyphen (#8209;) is used to define a hyphen character (‑) that does not break into a new line.
Type nbsp; where you want to insert an extra space. Add one non-breaking space character for every space you want to add. Unlike pressing the spacebar multiple times in your HTML code, typing nbsp; more than once creates as many spaces as there are instances of nbsp; .
The Space (SPACE) tag defines the ASCII control sequence for the space control function for an ASCII printer. The syntax for this tag follows: :SPACE DATA = ASCII control sequence. A required parameter.
URL Encoding (Percent Encoding) URL encoding replaces unsafe ASCII characters with a % followed by two hexadecimal digits. URLs cannot contain spaces. URL encoding normally replaces a space with a plus (+) sign or with %20.
