Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. Press Ctrl+K. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. Under Link to, click Place in This Document.
Select what youd like to turn into a link and then select Insert Hyperlink or press Ctrl + K. Select Place in This Document. Choose where youd like the link to connect to and select OK.
Word allows you to easily create hyperlinks from one document to another. What if you want to create a hyperlink to a specific page in another document, however? You cant specify a page number in a hyperlink; Word provides no way to do it. You can, however, create a hyperlink to a bookmark in another document.
By default, Word is set up to show the actual clickable URL hyperlinks. Open a paper in Microsoft Word. Click Words File menu in the upper left corner. Choose Options. Choose Advanced. Scroll down to Show document content. Click the checkbox next to Show field codes instead of their values to uncheck it.
Link or Embed a file Go to Insert Object. Select Create from File. Select Browse and choose the file you want to use. Select Insert. Choose Display as icon to embed, or Link to file for a link. Select OK.
Add the link Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink. Right-click and then click Hyperlink . Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to.
To create a hyperlink, click Insert Link. In the Display text box, type the text that people will click on. To link to a web address, type or paste the address in the Address box. Tip: If you dont need display text thats friendlier to read than the web address, just type the web address.
