[Music] hello and welcome to teachings and education lesson planning what components are required in lesson planning a teachers lesson plan should include at the very least these 12 different components the first necessary component is the title when naming your lesson plans begin with the course subject grade-level and your name the title should be clearly presented somewhere at the top of the lesson plan it should be easy for administrators to recognize whose lesson plan it is next up the date which is more important than you actually think teachers will not argue that one of the most common mistakes are using old lesson plans and forgetting to choose a date it happens to me all the time when teachers get caught using older dates it indicates they are not actually planning their lesson the third component is the lesson objective each lesson should have a learning goal the goal should be characterized as smart which means its specific measurable achievable results focused and time-

Shadows are formed when an opaque object or material is placed in the path of rays of light. The opaque material does not let the light pass through it. The light rays that go past the edges of the material make an outline for the shadow.
A shadow is the dark shape made when something blocks light. You must have a source of light in order to have shadows. Some sources of light include the sun, a lightbulb in your room, a flashlight, or a campfire that you sit around and roast marshmallows.
A classic way to teach shadows in early childhood education is with shadow tracing. All those exaggerated shapes we talked about earlier can make for some fun drawing, if you can capture them in place. Shadow tracing is very simple: you simply create a shadow with a light source and an object in front of it.
Provide flashlights and ask the children to look for shadows indoors and outdoors and to trace some of the shadows they find on paper or using chalk outdoors. Encourage the children to ask their own questions, plan how to test ideas and make predictions.
Objectives: Students will be able to 1) describe their prior knowledge about light and shadows, 2) describe their prior knowledge about how plants interact with light, 3) explain that shadows form when light is blocked and 4) analyze qualitative data to determine the nature of moving light.
Shadow play also helps children develop a rudimentary understanding of cause and effect as they observe what makes a shadow and where the light needs to be to cast a shadow. By moving their shadows around, they can investigate different shapes and sizes.
Shadows are ubiquitous, but often go unnoticed. Shadows are important historically, for they provided early evidence that light travels in straight lines. Humans constantly, but unconsciously, use shadows to judge the shape of objects in their environment.
Tell children that you will be exploring shadows together.Directions Can you tell which shadow is yours? How do you know? Wave to your shadow. Does your shadow wave back? What else can your shadow do that you can do? (Jump, dance, raise hands, etc.) Do you see anything else outside that has a shadow? What?
