[Music] hi guys its caitlin cahill the geek you need here and today im going to show you one of my favorite text effects that is really a simple way for you to elevate your text to another level im using photoshop today because you need to use masks and so you can do this in any program that allows you to do masks on a layer which if you dont know what those are ill show you so to begin with im going to go over here to my toolbar and im going to get the text tool and im going to type out the text that i want its obviously way too small so lets make that bigger and you can do this with any font but it tends to work best with fonts that are a little thicker so you can see the drop shadow and the outline around it so ive chosen a nice sans serif with a bold print here so i have my text on one layer my background color on the other now i like to design for dark t-shirts because those sell better so im going to double click on that layer to do a color overlay just make it a bla
