A 35-year-old male with a left knee injury sustained while snowboarding in Japan developed a DVT in his left gastric knee Mia's vein. On examination, he had a mild effusion, no erythema or ecchymosis, and was able to straight leg raise. Operative radiographs showed avulsion fractures of the medial and lateral tibial eminences, consistent with cruciate ligament injury. MRI imaging revealed injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, and medial meniscus. Treatment plan was discussed for surgical intervention.
