Generally, a quote should include: A quote number. The date of issue. Your business information. Your customers information. An itemised list of products, services and miscellaneous costs. Terms and conditions. A section for clients to sign their acceptance. Additional notes and details.
Getting a quote. A quote is an offer to do a job for an exact price. Once you accept a quote, the contractor cant charge you more than the agreed price unless you agree to extra work, or the scope of the job changes while it is underway. Legally, this is known as a variation to your contract.
Merge the quote into another quote by entering the latter quote number, then clicking Merge. This is useful if there are duplicated quotes in your system. If you are merging project quotes, you can also select to Merge Sections as Variations.
To copy an entire quote or job: Go to Quotes. / Jobs. and access the Quotes or Jobs table. Click Options next to an individual quote / job. Click Copy Quote or Copy Job.
To convert a quote to a job, recurring job, or recurring invoice, click Options Convert To Job / Recurring Job / Recurring Invoice OK. Alternatively, open the quote. Click Save and Finish and, click Convert To Job / Recurring Job / Recurring Invoice OK.
Tap the add icon JOB or QUOTE. If you are using Multi-Company and are assigned to more than one company, select the Company to build the Quote or Job for and tap OK. Tap the Customer field to search and select an existing customer, then tap ADD. Alternatively, tap the add icon to create a new customer.
