let's create just a demo markdown project okay so i'm going to create a markdown file and then if i want to upload a picture into my folder let's say um like what pictures do i have ready to go all right i'm going to use the logo i'm just going to drag it into here so now my logo is a local file and then i'm going to use basic markdown um markdown syntax to add the image and so it's pretty simple we're going to start with an exclamation point and then in brackets we're going to put the alt text and then in um or excuse me parentheses oh words are escaping me this morning we're gonna put the um file path so i'll say gray replit logo and then in here it's not in a folder so i can really just say gray logo and now when i run it i'm going to open up markdown and we'll see we've got the image and you can tell this is my markdown because all of this text i'm adding is popping up there so just use regular markdown syntax um that'll add the image to your markdown file let me know if you have...

To add a link to an image, enclose the Markdown for the image in brackets, and then add the link in parentheses.
To create an inline image link, enter an exclamation point ( ! ), wrap the alt text in brackets ( [ ] ), and then wrap the link in parenthesis ( ( ) ). (Alt text is a phrase or sentence that describes the image for the visually impaired.)
The code: [](http://example.com/) , where img/myImage. png should be replaced by the relative path to your image, and http://example.com/ should be replaced by the link you want to visit when the image is clicked.

jaimehernan95 on Mar 17, 2020 Navigate to the image folder and right-click to get the image link. go to your README file and paste the link. By doing this GitHub will generate automatically the perfect width to fit your page.
Just follow the [text](#link) syntax and follow these guidelines: write the letters and numbers as they are. replace spaces with dashes - remove the rest of the characters.
select Paste Image or press Ctrl+Shift+V to paste the image. The image will be saved in the same folder as the pasted md file, and a reference code to the image will be generated in md.
