But there is a new feature that will allow you to do the same thing if youre in Page Layout mode. Let me show you how to setup each kind of link. Heres a typical word processing document. Theres lots of text here and Ive got it divided into chapters. I have some page breaks and a Table of Contents that I have inserted that will create page links all on its own to each chapter. But what if I wanted to add some other links. Like, for instance, after the Table of Contents maybe I want to include a list of links to poems in the text here in this book. How to link to a specific part of a page Give a title to the text youd like to link. First, make a title or name to the text youd like to link on your webpage. Put the title into an opening HTML anchor link tag. Insert the anchor tags around the text you want to link to. Create a hyperlink that leads you to the text.
Control-click an object, text box, or selected text you want to turn into a link, choose Add Link, then choose a destination (Webpage, Email, Phone Number, Page, or Bookmark).
Set how paragraphs break between pages Select the paragraphs you want the settings to apply to. In the Format sidebar, click the More button near the top. Select any checkboxes in the Pagination Breaks section: Keep lines on same page: Keeps all lines of the paragraph on the same page.
Try it! Select Layout. In the Paragraph group, select the small arrow. In the Paragraph dialog box, select Line and Page Breaks. Under Pagination, choose the option that works best for you: Widow/Orphan control. Keep with next. Keep lines together. Page break before.

Add the link Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink. Right-click and then click Hyperlink . Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to.
