Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today we are going to look at page numbers in Microsoft Word. Were going to start with the absolute basics of how you even just get a page number onto every single page in Word. Then well look at some more advanced topics like how you start your page numbers from a specific page. To follow along, Ive included a sample document down below in the description. Lets check this out. Here I am in Microsoft Word, and I want to add page numbers to this document. To insert page numbers, up on the top tabs, lets click on the insert option. Over on the right-hand side, lets click on page number and here we see several different options. We can insert a page number at the top of the page and here we can left align it, center align it, or right align it, and if I scroll down, we see a number of different options. You can even add page one of one or one of however many pages you have, and here you have some different formats. I could add a page num

There are two ways of adding a link to another page: through a URL path and a file path. - [URL path to another document](./installation) - [file path to another document](./installation.mdx) docs/folder/doc1.md. I am referencing a [document](doc2. You can write [links](/otherFolder/doc4.
Just follow the [text](#link) syntax and follow these guidelines: write the letters and numbers as they are. replace spaces with dashes - remove the rest of the characters.
Markdown syntax for a hyperlink is square brackets followed by parentheses. The square brackets hold the text, the parentheses hold the link.
To link inline, type the text you want to link within brackets, [x], followed directly by the link URL parentheses, (y). Reference-style linking allows you to give a link a number or name and refer to it multiple times.
Using Anchor tags This allows you to use the HTML anchor tag when you need to add an external link instead of the []() syntax in markdown. You just add the target=blank attribute to your anchor tag so the links open up in a different browser tab.
Create a ReadMe File Create a file named README.md in the root (based) folder of the Git repo. Add any instructions or documentation that you want to share with others. Use Markdown to format headings, lists, links, etc. When done, commit the changes and push them to the remote repo.
To create an inline image link, enter an exclamation point ( ! ), wrap the alt text in brackets ( [ ] ), and then wrap the link in parenthesis ( ( ) ). (Alt text is a phrase or sentence that describes the image for the visually impaired.)
