- Avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco and strenuous exercise for 24 hours prior to collection and up to collection time. - Do not consume avocados, bananas, eggplant, pineapples, plums, tomatoes or walnuts for 48 hours before the test.
Overview. A Medical Review Officer (MRO) is a person who is a licensed physician and who is responsible for receiving and reviewing laboratory results generated by an employers drug testing program and evaluating medical explanations for certain drug test results.
The information to identify the specimen must be unique to the patient so that results are not associated with the wrong patient. Positive identification may include first and last name and unique numbers, such as a medical record number, hospital number, or the patients birthdate.
Completing Step 1 of the Federal Drug Testing CCF, continued Check the reason for testing. Note the drug tests to be performed. Document the collection site address. Document the collectors phone and fax numbers.
