link budget and link margin so whenever we have a communication the rf radio frequency that is microwave so link budget is a way of quantifying the link performance that is if you have a transmitter and a receiver the link has need to be established link budget is a way to quantify that is youll get a value you can find a value that whether this link has a good performance or not so when you send something that is your the receive power which you get at receiving it in this wireless link im talking about wirelessly and the three factors are there that is the transmit power of the center antenna transmitting antenna again that is the transmitting power and transmitting antenna and the antenna gain of the receiving attack gain is just you know the the possibility probability and the ability of the antenna to just focus on one direction and send this signal on one direction that is the end the antenna gain so if that power this minus the free space loss because there will always be a f

The Link Margin is a measurement that indicates how much MER a a digital channel can lose before it is impossible to lock it. This happens when the Link Margin measurement is equal, very close or below zero. Then the decoder error corrector is not able to recover data lost at transmission.
As the name suggests, a link budget is simply the accounting of all of the gains and losses from the transmitter, through the medium (free space, cable, waveguide, fiber, etc.) to the receiver in a telecommunication system.
A communication link budget is a way of accounting for all gains and losses in a communication system from transmitter output power to the power seen by the receiver. By knowing all the losses and gain in our communication system, we can predict how reliably the signal can be received.
The link margin is simply the ratio of received power to the required power (by the receiver). The required signal power is a complex function of (1) the target BER, (2) implementation losses, and (3) different noise terms.
The 5G link budget is an accounting of the transmitted power, along with all the gains and losses. it is used to calculate the received signal level at the the receiver handset (UE).
The fading margin describes the excess amount of power that a link budget has to provide to counteract fading events due to multipath propagation. It is in the interest of the radio engineer to reduce the required excess power to optimise a radio link.
A fade margin of 10 dB is an absolute minimum. This would only be acceptable for links less than 3 miles or so. Up to 5 miles should have at least a 15 dB fade margin, and links greater than that should be higher. A fade margin of 25 dB is recommended for links greater than 5 miles.
The level of received power in excess of that required for a specified minimum level of system performance is referred to as the fade margin. So called, because it provides a margin of safety in the event of a temporary attenuation or fading of the received signal power.
A simple link budget equation looks like this: Received power (dBm) = transmitted power (dBm) + gains (dB) losses (dB)
A simple link budget equation looks like this: Received power (dBm) = transmitted power (dBm) + gains (dB) losses (dB)
