in this video we will show you how to link a table of contents to headings in word select the heading on the home tab select from one of the heading styles you can right click and select modify to make any changes to the formatting then go to the table of contents and select the title you can either click the insert tab and click the link button or right click and select hyperlink select the document tab select the heading and click ok once you click the link it will take you to that heading the same was done for the other headings to remove the link click the link button and click remove link or right click and click remove hyperlink you can also create a link for a word in a text by following the same steps if you like this video give it a thumbs up

In the content editor, highlight the text you want to hyperlink. In the rich text toolbar, click the linkd link icon.Insert an anchor link In the pop-up box, click the Link to dropdown menu and select URL. Enter the full URL of the page followed by the # hashtag symbol, followed by the name of the anchor. Click Insert.
How to link to a specific part of a page Give a title to the text youd like to link. First, make a title or name to the text youd like to link on your webpage. Put the title into an opening HTML anchor link tag. Insert the anchor tags around the text you want to link to. Create a hyperlink that leads you to the text.
Add the link Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink. Under Link to, click Place in This Document. In the list, select the heading or bookmark that you want to link to.
To create a jump link, type a user friendly, hyphen separated slug within the HTML Anchor field, located within the Advanced panel of Block Settings. To link to the HTML anchor, type the anchor name into any URL input field, proceeded by the pound (#) symbol.
Take the name youve chosen, and insert it into an opening HTML anchor link tag. Place that complete opening tag from above before the text or object you want to link to, and add a closing tag after. Create the hyperlink thatll take you to that text or object.
Highlight the header in the Gutenberg Block and click Advanced on the right-hand pane. Enter a link ID for the highlighted header in the HTML Anchor box. Next, highlight the text inside the block that you want to use as your anchor link, and click the chain link icon.
To add an anchor to a heading in HTML, add a element with an id attribute. Dont use . Use lowercase for id values, and put hyphens between words. To add an anchor to a heading in Markdown, add the following code to the end of the line that the heading is on.
The HTML element (also called the anchor element), containing its href attribute, creates a hyperlink to other web pages, locations within the same page, location to a specified title of another web page, or to an email web page. The tag defines a hyperlink, which is used to link from one page to another.
Adding an Anchor Link Click your mouse around the text you want hyperlinked. Select the Editor. Place your cursor in front of the text (or title in this case) you want the anchor link to jump to. Select the Hyperlink Manager. Select the Anchor tab. Enter a name for the anchor in the Name field. Select OK.
