Another way is to use the type tool and click on the area where you want to create the link. Then, you can go to the Properties panel and click on the hyperlink icon. This will bring up a dialog box where you can enter the URL for the link.
To unlock the layer, simply click on the “Lock” icon in the Layers panel and then try to edit the layer again. Another reason your layer might be locked is because the layer contains a Background. If you're still having trouble unlocking your layer, it could be because you're working in a locked Photoshop document.

Two ways to unlock or lock a Photoshop layer. Go to your Layers panel and select the layer you'd like to unlock. If it's locked, you'll see a padlock symbol next to the name of the layer. Click the padlock icon next to the layer to unlock all the layer's properties.
