Add additional connection lines. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click Shapes and then on the Shapes list, under Lines, select the connection line you prefer. Connect shapes you need, using the selected connector type.
Connect the flowchart shapes by holding the mouse pointer over the first shape, and then clicking the small arrow that appears that points to the shape you want to connect to.

Connect two shapes with a line or arrow From the Insert | Shapes gallery select a line or arrow option. There are many line and arrow options to choose from, check out the Gallery to see them all. The first nine choices under Lines will connect shapes. Select a link/arrow then hover over a shape.
Merge shapes Select the shapes you want to merge: press and hold the Shift key while you select each shape in turn. On the Shape Format tab, in the Insert Shapes group, select Merge Shapes, and then pick the option you want. Select the Merge option you want.
