How to link design in the NDA

would you do an NDA before you send designs to manufacturers in China man thats a good question Ive read a bunch of articles about this over the past couple years theres a lot of really differing opinions about this but the best opinion Ive heard is one from actual lawyers and they say that ndas dont hold a lot of weight in China in Chinese court so thats what you kind of have to keep in mind like if a chinese Factory runs away with your designs you have to sue them in Chinese Court not in the U.S court so unless your document is ing to Chinese law and legal standards and everything then theyre not going to care so the issue is people will come up with their ndas that they Google and find and be like heres my NDA and then they send it off to their supplier and this was like oh yeah cool this is awesome and then they run away with their designs and then the US company or the people get all pissed off and try to sue them they go to their lawyer and like yeah we sent them this NDA

Most designers are familiar with non-disclosure agreements. Usually, your employer asks you to sign such an agreement to prevent you from revealing confidential information.
An NDA is a legal agreement which defines information that the parties wish to protect from dissemination and outlines restrictions on use. NDAs are also valuable to protect the ability to patent an invention, something that can be compromised if a disclosure of the invention becomes public knowledge.
What is NDA? Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is a contract that designers sign with a company before starting a project. Sometimes its on its own, sometimes its a section in an employment or Terms of Service contract.
In the context of UX research, NDAs are typically used to make sure research participants dont share sensitive or confidential information they learn during a research session. If your participant is sharing their own companys sensitive information, they may require you to sign an NDA as well.
There are three types of NDAs: unilateral, bilateral, and multilateral. Read on to learn when you should use each type. Youll also learn how to use a contract management tool like Ironclad to draft and manage them.
Five other key features must be included in your NDA to ensure its legally binding, including a description of confidential information, obligations of the parties involved, any exclusions, the term of the agreement and consequences of a bdocHub.
A good NDA restricts the use of the ideas and information to a specific permitted purpose. This could be the evaluation of your idea or the discussion of a joint venture. Specify that purpose in the NDA as precisely as you can. You can always widen the permitted purpose later.
A good NDA describes why youre sharing the information without specifying the confidential information. For example, The purpose of the NDA is to: Evaluate the new technology. Get a quote to manufacture a new product.
