Choose from a list of date formats Select the cells you want to format. Press CTRL+1. In the Format Cells box, click the Number tab. In the Category list, click Date. Under Type, pick a date format.
Time format: Within a variable name, you must specify time formats that include a colon character (:) with an underscore _"). Date format: You can use a hyphen (-), dot (.) or slash (/) character in date formats. In this case, you must also use an underscore instead of these characters in the variable name.

Open the report in Crystal Reports. Under the menu "File", select "Report Options..." In the "Report Options" window, for the option: "Convert Date-Time Field", select "To Date-Time" Then click "OK"
Convert DateTime to Date using a formula: From the Field Explorer, right-click on Formula Fields and select New....Answer: Add the DateTime field to the report. Right-click on the field and select Format Field. On the Date and Time tab, select the format that only shows the date value. Click OK.
In Crystal Reports, select File > Report Options to open the Report Options window. Select the option "To Date-Time" from the drop down menu "Convert Date-Time field:", then click OK. Refresh the report. Date-Time fields previously displayed as Dates should include the full date and time from the database.
