Our goal today is to help you identify the data youre buying and ensure that the Government receives the rights that it needs to be able to use it the way it wants to. These are two great myths of buying data rights. Im sure youve heard them before. One says that its all about the clauses and the other says that if we pay for it we own it. The first one is something that youre likely to hear from the contracting folks and the second one is something that youll hear from program folks. Its a very natural kind of concept, but they happen to be wrong. And my goal today is to show you why that is and what to do about it. So why isnt it all about
