If you want to add any external links to any of your pages you can do that in a couple different ways. The first thing Im going to do is edit the page and make some space for my link. The first way that you can add a link is just by pasting it right into the text area. So if I already have a link copied I can just click paste and as you can see its just plain text right now. The way to make it an active link is by adding a space after it, once youve added the space then it becomes an active link. The second way that you can add a link is to add it to text. So again, I could add a description of what my link is, I can highlight the text and use this link to URL icon up here in the rich content editor, paste the link in here or type it by memory, click insert link, and then save the page. Youll notice that the icon that appears is slightly different. Its not a preview icon, instead its an icon that indicates that its a link to an external site. So what that means is its going

Write effective links Link names should be the same as the page name linked to. Dont use the full name of a document or program as a link name. Be as explicit as you can. Too long is better than too short. Make the link meaningful. Add a short description when needed to clarify the link.
Adding links in a report Right-click the object used as the trigger object of the link and click Link on the shortcut menu. In the Insert Link dialog, select the target to which the trigger object will be linked: Report, Master/Detail Report, URL, E-mail or Content from the Link Type drop-down list.
Create a hyperlink to a location on the web Select the text or picture that you want to display as a hyperlink. On ribbon, on the Insert tab, select Link. You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box.
How to Open an RPT File. Crystal Reports is one compatible program. You can open the file for free on Windows or macOS with SAPs Crystal Reports Viewer tool. AccountEdge reports are created by and opened with AccountEdge Pro; it works on Windows and macOS.
Use the Pick Action Wizard to create a hyperlink to the Crystal Report: Set the pick action to Hyperlink then select the Next button. In the URL field, select the browse button then select the Link to Object option. Use the browser window to select the required Crystal Report item.
Add a hyperlink to existing text Select the text that you want to turn into a hyperlink, and right-click it. On the shortcut menu, click Hyperlink. In the Insert Hyperlink dialog, paste the link in the Address box and click OK.
Since most RPT files are saved in text format, most of the files can be opened using a text editor, such as Microsoft Notepad or Apple TextEdit. If the RPT file is saved in a proprietary format, you will most likely need to use the program that created the file to open it.
Include as much of the following as can be determined: The title or a description of the page. The author of the content (if any) The owner or sponsor of the site of the site. A URL. A publication date or modification date or an access date if these other dates arent available.
