Use a 1.91:1 ratio (1200 x 627 pixels). Image must be more than 200 pixels wide. If your image width is less than 200 pixels, it will appear as a thumbnail on the left side of the post. This doesnt apply if youre posting an image only or an image and text.

Television broadcasting stayed with the 4:3 standard, until the recent move to HDTV and 16:9 widescreen. 16:9 is the native aspect ratio of most high-definition widescreen LCD monitors and TVs (16:9 and 16:10 are very similar). It is 78% wider than it is tall, and fully one-third wider than a 4:3 screen.
3:2 means the image is a multiple of 3 units wide, and a multiple of 2 units high. For example, 3 x 2 and 6 x 4 are both 3:2 ratio.
The recommended size is 1200 x 628 pixels. Use an aspect ratio of 1.91:1.
For example, a square image has an aspect ratio of 1:1. The image resolution could be 500 x 500, 800 x 800, or 1200 x 1200, but the aspect ratio will still remain 1:1.
As another example, a portrait-style image might have a ratio of 2:3. With this aspect ratio, the height is 1.5 times longer than the width. So the image could be 500px 750px, 1500px 2250px, etc.
