This talk introduces the running of the WRF model. It is recommended to first review the talk on preparing data for the model run with real atmospheric data. You can download the WRF model code to follow along. The basic workflow for running WRF includes using two main programs: one for initializing conditions and one for time integration. To run the model with real atmospheric data, the three WPS programs should be run first, followed by the model program itself. There is also an option to run the model with idealized initial conditions.
