hi everyone kevin here today i want to show you how you can use microsoft shifts first off what is microsoft shifts its a schedule management tool thats available in microsoft teams it allows you to both create and manage schedules when would you use something like this well lets say that you own or maybe you manage a retail location and you want to manage everyones schedule or maybe you work at say a hospital a technology company and you have someone whos on call or maybe you have your incident manager and you want to manage those schedules microsoft shifts can help with all of those scenarios im going to show you step by step first off how you could set up a shift and then how you can manage those ill show you what it looks like from a managers point of view and from a team members point of view all right lets jump on the pc and see how we can start taking advantage of shifts here i am on my pc and i have microsoft teams open im responsible for all of these different loca

After you save changes in a shift, asterisk will appear next tot the shift. This indicates that the change has been made but you havent published it yet.
Create a schedule in Shifts Sign in to Microsoft Teams, and on the app launcher, click More apps Shifts. In the Create a team schedule box, select the team you want to create the schedule for, and then choose Create. Confirm the time zone you want to use for the schedule. Add people to your schedule.
See the team schedule Go to More options. on the far-left side of the app and choose Shifts. You can change the dates youre viewing with the buttons at the top of the frame.
To add a guest to your team in Teams: Select Teams and go to the team in your team list. Select More options. Add member. Enter the guests email address. Anyone with a business or consumer email account, such as Outlook, Gmail, or others, can join your team as a guest. Add your guests name. Select Add.
Its important to know that Shifts currently dont support guests. This means that guests on a team cant be added to or use shift schedules when Guest access is turned on in Teams. For details about Shifts capabilities on different platforms, see Teams features by platform.
Set guest permissions for channels in Teams Select Teams on the left side of the app. Go to the team name, and select More options. Manage team. Select Settings Guest permissions. Check or uncheck the permissions you want to allow.
Add people to the schedule Locate the group you want to add someone to and click Add people to group . Type their name or email and select them in the list. Select Add. Continue adding people if needed, and then select Close when youre done.
